Latin American Solidarity will host its second annual Latin American Food Festival at the Ecumenical Christian Ministries, 1204 Oread, at 6 tonight.

The $6 ticket will let students sample cuisine from nine Latin American countries including Chile, Brazil, Bolivia, Venezuela and Peru. Tickets will be available at the door.

The festival will also feature live music and dancing.

The proceeds from the festival will go to CRIPDES, which is an organization dedicated to developing El Salvador’s rural areas.

Justina Patterson, Pittsburg sophomore, said the group was trying to raise awareness of the problems in El Salvador and inform students about another of Lawrence’s sister cities, El Papaturro, El Salvador.
