DA reviewing complaint involving verbal assault

A 23-year-old KU student was verbally assaulted around 3 a.m. on Jan. 24 between Lilac Lane and Alumni Place, a KU Public Safety Office spokesman said.

The victim was walking home when a car approached and people inside made threatening comments, said Capt. Schuyler Bailey of KU Public Safety.

Bailey said the safety office later identified and questioned the suspects.

The case has been sent to Douglas County Municipal court for review by the District Attorney.
