Colorful and fragrant soap can add to any thank-you or get-well basket. To create a personalized gift, head to a health food store, pick up glycerin soap base, essential oil and cosmetic grade coloring. Melt the glycerin in the microwave and then add coloring and essential oil. Pour the mixture into a candy, soap or cookie mold and set it in the freezer for one hour to solidify. Tie on a bow or wrap it in decorative paper of your choice. As you get more confident in your soap-making abilities, you can add dried herbs and flowers, or olive oil for a moisturizing soap.
