Murphy Hall, ‘The Music Man’ share celebration

The departments of theatre and film and music and dance honor the 50th anniversary of Murphy Hall and “The Music Man” this weekend with a banquet and performance of the musical. The show takes place at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, with additional performances the following weekend.

The Kansas football team has beat Nebraska only once in 38 years. But with an 8-0 record and top-10 national ranking, the Jayhawks are finally the favorite going into Saturday’s game against the Cornhuskers.
