One likes to adhere to a plan and not leave anything to chance, the other makes decisions as she goes. What seems like a recipe for disaster has transformed into close friendship for Erin England, Cottonwood Falls sophomore, and Shirley Sengmany, Garden City senior. They met in 2006 when they lived on the same floor of Gertrude Sellards Pearson Residence Hall and were introduced by a mutual friend.
“We’ve been good friends ever since,” England says. “We decided to move in together because we knew each other and wanted to live in the same type of housing. Although she says I pressured her into it.”
