KU Police issued a statement to students Tuesday morning saying that the date, 10-23-07, spray-painted on the sidewalk outside Lewis Hall was not related to an incident of vandalism that took place last week. Police said the sidewalk was decorated to advertise for a band.
According to police reports, someone shot three windows at Lewis Hall sometime on Oct. 13 or Oct. 14.
