Question: What’s the best advice you’ve been given?
Dotson: “Put your boots on and go.” If you want to do something, have faith in your ability and do it.
Canipe: Friends are only strangers we have yet to meet. It’s honest, straight-forward, and a good way to live your life.
Q: Who was your childhood hero?
D: Charles Kuralt, correspondent for CBS in the 50s and 60s. He was the first to say, ‘We should do stories about the people of America.’
C: My parents. If I can follow in their footsteps then I think I’ve done something right.
Q: What is your favorite movie?
D: It’s a Wonderful Life. It’s after WWII and James Stewart sees what his town would have been like if he hadn’t done what he did.
C: The Big Lebowski. Everything goes wrong for him, it’s awesome.
Q: What is the best place you’ve visited?
D: The next one. I’s important for me to find something new. The geography is not as important as people you meet.
C: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. It’s a pretty cool place. I like the culture.
Q: What else could you see yourself doing?
D: Telling stories in one way or another. I’d be in independent film or writing a book or script writing.
C: Be in culinary school. I love to cook.
