Aired April 1, 2008 on 90.7 KJHK FM. On this episode:
Student fees, part two: On last week's episode, KJHK reporter Tom Atchity spoke with Student Senate representative Eric Floss about his efforts to eradicate the $40 women's and non-revenue sports fee that students pay every semester. This week, Tom sat down with Jim Marcioni, associate athletics director, for a different take on the importance of student fees.
State of the arts: State of the Arts contributor Sierra Falter sits down with Sally Piller, owner of Six Gallery, to talk about how her gallery has changed since it opened last year.
Environmental movie festival: These days, protecting the environment is often at the forefront of conversation. With Earth Day right around the corner, however, the organizers of a local environmental film festival hope to make it an even more prevalent conversational topic. KJHK's Sachiko Miyakawa takes a look at the festival and talks with the organizers to find out what they hope to accomplish with it.
Weekend at the movies: This weekend at the movies, Kevin Spacey took a group of brilliant college students on a trip to count cards at Las Vegas casinos in the new film "21." KJHK contributors Elliot Kort and Abby Olcese tell us why the film is anything but a bust.
Counting Crows: Counting Crows recently released a new album, Saturday Nights and Sunday Mornings. KJHK contributor and music connoisseur Elliot Kort listened to the album and lets you know if you should, too.
Featured fiction: KJHK contributor Andrea Laws gives us this week's short fiction piece.
