Junior guard Mario Chalmers announced today that he would forfeit his final year of eligibility at the University of Kansas to enter the NBA Draft.
Chalmers becomes the third Jayhawk to declare early this year, after sophomore forward Darrell Arthur and junior guard Brandon Rush announced their entry last week. Chalmers will not hire an agent, which would make it possible for him to return to Kansas after declaring if he pleases.
Most draft projections have Chalmers going in the late first to early second round.
