Pick a team, grab some food and find a big screen to watch this year’s Super Bowl matchup as the New York Giants take on the New England Patriots Feb. 3 at 5 p.m. Catch the game at a sports bar, such as Wayne and Larry’s, 933 Iowa St. Restaurant manager Shawn Hogan recommends getting there early to avoid the rush.
“Because of the amount of TVs we have here, it always gets a little crowded during sports games,” Hogan says.
If you prefer to watch the game without fighting a crowd, plan your own Super Bowl party. Stock up on snacks like pizza rolls, chips and dip and beverages, invite your friends over and root for your favorite team. Not a football fan? Enjoy the snacks, commercials and halftime performance by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.
