KU senior Danielle Sloan of Lenexa passed away Sunday, June 15. The 22-year-old business major was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She also volunteered as a Big Sister and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Chancellor Robert Hemenway released this statement concerning Sloan’s death.
“On behalf of the entire University community, I send deepest condolences to the friends and family of Danielle Sloan. Our hearts go out to them at this tragic time.”
Sloan is survived by her father David Sloan, extended family and many friends.
Her funeral was held June 20 at the Northland Cathedral in Kansas City, Mo. For those interested, online condolences can be expressed at www.speakschapel.com.
