I don't like either, I think I will stick to what we have used for the past 5 years. Its become a tradition now and I see no reason to change it now.

I hate both of those.

My reely smat rommate sugjested this little doosy,"Rip his damn wiener off!" I thank tis make us sound sofistedcated. Fathermoor, this whole debates is a waste off time...we could use oar time. Did yo no that their are kids coming into KU that dotn know on that Jesse Owen beet Hitler in a race. 13th graders that dont know on that. Thats a dang thing.

These both blow! Mipiacio you make a wise debate right there! And your roommates is pretty funny! This is pure stuipidity by the Kansan.

at least when they replaced the muck fizzou shirts, it was with something equally creative...those two chants seem almost uncreative and boring. I think we can do better than those two.

heres the deal kansan. obviously your not too bright if you really think this is going to solve your problem. Heres whats gonna happen. kkkkkkk uuuuuuu is gonna win and then at the game saturday your going to hear this: KKKKKKKKKKKKK UUUUUUUUU , RIP HIS F#$%ING HEAD OFF!!!!!!! thats exactly whats going to happen If i can see this coming cant you big time writers see it coming too? Since the kkkkkkkkk is before the kick and at the kick ppl do the uuuuu that gives the exact same time slot to do the Rip his... etc. That wont change a thing.. but obviously you guys didn't think that one out too well did ya now?

So let me get this straight. The two options are copies of the kick-off styles of OU and the Irish. I am surprised that a group of people so concerned with presenting KU as a leading edge university can do no better than to simply steal other people's ideas. If KU wants to be perceived as a university with a difference, with meaningful traditions, and with a vibrant student body, then we must differentiate ourselves - not steal other people's traditions. 30,000 people can't come up with something more orginal?

As a side note - this is what happens when people try to engineer what should be an organic experience. You end up with flavorless pablum. The creation and maintenance of a tradition is an on-going process. Not something that can be decided on in a week. Even though this "might" stick, it really won't "mean" anything.

I think it is funny how they took the Highest one voted that was submitted by the students and the highest one voted that was submitted by the staff. The reason these were the first and second highest was cause they conveniently Excluded the one that had the highest voting which was "all of these make me want to rip my head off!" which had 641 votes which was 55% of the votes. Way to go KANSAN nice try sneaking that one by us.

K...U is a copy of OU's chant and the other one is the fighting irish's chant. It should be unique or involve our other traditions somehow. Shouldn't it be something like, Rock Chalk, as you had suggested in the previous poll. We need a good chant, but not a copied chant.

The Kansan doesnt even research anything when people submit ideas. Lets steal other universities chants such as Oklahomas buy changing the O to a K and and yell Kkkkk Uuuuu.... Lame on the idea thinking. And screw Notre Dame but that other one is theirs. Come up with something original. It might take time! NOT A COUPLE WEEKS!! The Kansan is plagarising the ideas of other schools! I thought that was frowned upon! Way to go Kansan! You really brighten up my day! The people writing this column probably dont even go to the games but instead they sit in a library on a Saturday afternoon!

WAY TO GO KANSAN!! You got a total of 320 out of 30,000 people to vote as of 4:20! I think the student section is a little bit bigger then 320 people so I think this shows that this is stuiped and isn't going to alter people from yelling "Rip his fu**ing head off." Cus people apparently DONT CARE!!!
