As graduation quickly approaches, the senior class prepares to leave its mark on the University. The graduating class of 2009 plans to replace the old flagpole on the Strong Hall lawn.
The flagpole, which has been standing for years, is rusty and has visible cracks on the plaque. The new flagpole will be 30 feet tall, stainless steel, and sport a bronze plaque recognizes the class of 2009.
Previous class gifts include the bronze KU seal at Budig hall, the crab apple trees, the bronze Jayhawk statue at Strong hall and the baby Jay display case in the Kansas Union.
