The Jewish community celebrated the beginning of passover last night at the first Seder meal. In celebration of Passover, many Jewish students go to the Chabad House to hear the exodus story in the Hebrew bible.
For the Christian community tomorrow begins the holiday Good Friday. The mournful holiday is a remembrance of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ nearly 2,000 years ago.
Passover will continue through the next week and the Christin holly week will end this Sunday with the celebration of Easter.
