For the first time since 2006, Kansas baseball is back in the national spotlight.
The Jayhawks entered Baseball America’s polls as the 24th ranked team today, marking it the first time that they have been ranked since May 29, 2006. That was also the year Kansas won the Big 12 tournament championship.
Kansas stands tied for fourth in the conference with a 7-5 record and 23-12 record overall after sweeping previously-No. 17 Oklahoma State last weekend. The Jayhawks are 8-7 against top 25-teams, including a sweep of then-No. 1 Texas in late March.
