Henry yet undecided; may visit Kentucky

Henry still undecided; may visit Calipari at UK

Xavier Henry, the No. 3 prospect in the nation according to Rivals.com, can’t make up his mind.

Not just on what school he will attend next season, either. He also can’t decide if he wants to visit Kentucky and coach John Calipari or not.

Yesterday, Rivals reported that Henry was set to go to the Lexington, Ky., campus for an official visit before the end of April. Now, Rivals is reporting that Xavier doesn’t want to visit Kentucky.

Perhaps the only thing Xavier is certain about is that he wants to play with his brother, C.J. Henry, next season. The brothers have narrowed their lists to Kansas or Kentucky.

But at this point, it’s still uncertain when a decision will be made.

Has CJ been cleared to transfer without sitting out for a season? I have heard no indication that has occurred. If so, as a presumed "one and done" player, Xavier's only option to play with his brother is at Memphis isn't it???

Rick,
That's my read, too. NCAA may be P.O.d about his walk-on status and assert their hegemony outside the bounds of scholarship regulations. Why they have any say about players not on scholarship is beyond me.

My understanding was that even though he was a "walk on" - his former Baseball team, I believe, paid his way - he practiced with the team and "would have played if not for his injury" makes him - by rule- required to adhere to transfer requirements. Doesn't seem fair but that's what I hear the rule to be. I understand he has requested an exemption from that but have not heard anything in regard to the status of that request. Any word on when a ruling will be made about that?
