Before graduating in May, students must turn in additional paperwork to apply for their degrees. Some students report confusion about the process.
Students hoping to graduate in May are expected to turn in, and should have already turned in, paperwork applying for their degrees. Applying through their majors ensures that students have completed the coursework necessary to obtain a degree, and allows them to meet with their advisers for a final time.
Administrators report that between 10 and 15 percent of students must either complete additional coursework or retake courses in which they were unsuccessful in order to raise their GPAs to the necessary standard for graduation. For more information on graduation, visit the Office of the Registrar.
