An Overland Park senior majoring in business died July 29, according to a media release issued by the University this morning.
Patrick Jordan Benedict, a graduate of Blue Valley Northwest High School and honor roll student, was 21.
Interim Chancellor Barbara Atkinson and School of Business Dean William L. Fuerst issued statements of condolence this morning.
“We are saddened by the loss of Patrick Benedict,” Atkinson said. “We mourn the passing of this bright young man, and on behalf the University community, we extend our heartfelt sympathies to his family and friends.”
