Not straying far away from what made fans love them, Wilco made “Wilco (The Album)” another great work that’s worthy of picking up.
With superb musicianship, lyrics that hit you right at home and Jeff Tweedy’s sweet-swaggering vocals, the album makes you feel like Wilco should: good.
The combination of slow southern country and upbeat rock and roll gives this album the ability to make you feel two ways at once. Part of it makes you want to lie down while listening to the rain outside and the other makes you want to throw a dance party in your living room. It’s a great combination.
Every time through this album gets better. No matter your feelings on Wilco — don’t hesitate — just pick it up.
