The Kansas Athletics Department announced Tuesday that a new artificial surface would be installed at Memorial Stadium before the start of the upcoming season.
FieldTurf, a company that installs artificial turf, will construct the new surface. It will be the same as the surface on Kansas’ two new practice fields. The field will be ready for Kansas’ season opener against Northern Colorado on Sept. 5.
