The University Daily Kansan won an Online Pacemaker this weekend from the Associated Collegiate Press. This is the third year in a row The Kansan has won the award.
Former Kansan reporter Ryan McGeeney won third place in the Pacemaker contest for Story of the Year for his story “Ghost World,” which ran in The Kansan on Dec. 10, 2008.
The Kansan also won on-site awards at the National Collegiate Media Convention, of which the Associated Collegiate Press was a host.
The Wave took Best of Show in the special sections category. The Kansan’s daily paper took third in Best of Show. All winners in the Best of Show contest can be found here.
