For the third consecutive year, senior quarterback Todd Reesing has been named a semifinalist for the Davey O’Brien national quarterback award. The 15 semi-finalists were announced yesterday.
This season Reesing has completed 65 percent of his attempts for 2,240 yards and 15 touchdowns. He has also thrown seven interceptions.
Finalists for the award will be announced Nov. 23.
Junior wide receiver Dezmon Briscoe was named one of 10 semi-finalists for the Biletnikoff Award, which is given annually to the nation’s top wide receiver.
In six games this season Briscoe has caught 45 passes for 731 yards and four touchdowns.
Senior wide receiver Kerry Meier, who was named a semi-finalist for the award last season, didn’t make this year’s list despite ranking second nationally in receptions.
