Two people suspected in Louise's West crash

A large silver SUV is thought to have caused extensive damage to Louise's West early Sunday morning. A police statement has yet to be released regarding the investigation.

P.J. Mather, general manager of Louise’s West, 1307 W. 7th St., said Lawrence police told her they had identified two suspects, a male and a female, in Sunday’s crash into the bar’s facade. She said the Lawrence Police Department did not give her names of the suspects and an accident report had not yet been released.

Sgt. Bill Cory said he could neither confirm nor deny whether the police had identified any suspects as of Tuesday.

Mather said the bar should reopen either Friday or Saturday.
