Students pay campus fees for unused services
KU students taking classes on the Edwards campus still pay required fees for the Lawrence campus.
Students who take classes on both Lawrence and Edwards campus are paying double the campus fees. They're paying for the services and facilities they never use. Campus fees are mandatory regardless of how many classes you are enrolled in or how many hours you spend on campus. A student who takes one class at KU will still spend over 4oo dollars in campus fees. Often students don't know which services their fees are paying for either. Many students feel that these charges are unfair and would like to be compensated, have the fees reduced or made optional, like the other optional campus fees already available.
Here's a breakdown of campus fees, so you know where your money went.
