The sun sets on Arizona's mountainous desert terrain that separates the US from Mexico. The region, which has weather ranging from scorching hot days and freezing cold nights, is an area through which an estimated 400,000 to 600,000 migrants pass through the busiest months of February, March and April. The migrants tend to move only at night because they are afraid of being picked up by the Border Patrol and deported.
