A plane from La Guardia airport was emergency landed the morning of January 21st after a 17-year-old boy began to use his tefillin, alarming passengers and employees due to it's unfamiliar appearance, perceiving it as a bomb.

During the prayer, one box is placed on your inner arm near your heart and a leather strap is wrapped down the arm and around the hand. Traditionally, the strap and box will be placed on the persons weaker arm to give them strength.

The inside of a Tefillin box, with four compartments for handwritten prayers on parchment, which goes on your head during prayer. The box must be checked by an official Scribe every seven years or less to maintain that it is still pure, this one is not due to the cracked and faded ink of the parchment and is used for educational purposes.
