A students' ID can get them into a lot of things- from bars to trouble. Bar, restaurant and liquor store owners were invited to 'Fake ID 101' last week, which taught them how to better spot fake IDs.

A cross commemorating the life of crash victim Josh Skipton stands near the intersection of Iowa Street and University Drive. Skipton's motorcycle collided with a van around 6:15 p.m. Wednesday night, and Skipton was pronounced dead at the scene.

The KU Transit System is preparing to unveil the new hybrid buses for the upcoming school year. Transit Administrator Robert Nugent said that he expects a 40-50% drop in fuel usage as well as 90% cleaner emissions compared to non-hybrid buses.
