Two beams recovered from the World Trade Center stand in the Dole Institute of Politics on west campus. The Dole Institute of Politics acquired the pieces from Mayor Bloomberg in appreciation for Bob Dole's work with President Clinton on creating the Families of Freedom Scholarship. The scholarship is given to students who's families were affected in the 9/11 attacks.
