Last night, The Swell Season performed at the Uptown Theater in Kansas City. You might recognize these two European musicians from their performance in the film "Once," in which they one an Oscar for Best Song. No country for KU

Last weekend at KU, the Film and Theater Department held their annual "Alums Come Home." The event features a series of lectures and workshops given by KU graduates who now have careers in the Film and Theater industries. One such graduate was Gregory Hill, who talked about his work as the Graphic Designer for the film "No Country for Old Men." Our resident movie critics Abby Olcese and Elliot Kort talked with Hill about his work.

University of Kansas students enrolled in the Musical Performance for the Actor class will perform in "Really!?" That's the name of the show (Really?!). The production will benefit the Douglas County AIDS Project, or DCAP, Sunday May 4. KJHK reporter Haley Shanks explains more about the show and how its participants hope it will help DCAP.
