You might recognize these two European musicians from their performance in the film "Once," in which they one an Oscar for Best Song. Free Comic Book Day is the day when participating comic book shops around the world give away comic books absolutely free to anyone who comes into their stores. KJHK reporter Justin Leverett was at Astrokitty Comics to pick up his free issues and learn more about the event.

Last weekend at KU, the Film and Theater Department held their annual "Alums Come Home." The event features a series of lectures and workshops given by KU graduates who now have careers in the Film and Theater industries. One such graduate was Gregory Hill, who talked about his work as the Graphic Designer for the film "No Country for Old Men." Our resident movie critics Abby Olcese and Elliot Kort talked with Hill about his work.

University of Kansas students enrolled in the Musical Performance for the Actor class will perform in "Really!?" That's the name of the show (Really?!). The production will benefit the Douglas County AIDS Project, or DCAP, Sunday May 4. KJHK reporter Haley Shanks explains more about the show and how its participants hope it will help DCAP.

Lyrical Hip Hop artist Common performed this past week at the Lied Center as a part of Student Union Activies Spring events. KJHK contributors Derek Zarda and Danny Spence were able to meet up with the hip-hop juggernaut after his performance.
