It's a tradition. By definition, if you change it, it ceases to be what it once was and therefore can no longer be known as the "tradition" it used to be. Get rid of it. It's a KU game - not a kiddy coaster at the county fair in Columbia, MO.

The chant isn't supposed to be "exciting." It's supposed to be spooky, somber, haunting, eerie, solemn; that's what sets it apart. You can "woo" all you want before the chant and after the chant.
