Head Coach Bill Self speaks to a packed Allen Fieldhouse during Late Night in the Phog.

The Kansas men’s and women’s basketball seasons will officially begin when the 35th annual Late Night in the Phog takes place Friday, Oct. 4, Kansas Athletics announced Thursday in a press release.

Similar to previous years, this year’s edition of Late Night in the Phog will feature skits from both basketball teams, performances from the school’s spirit squad and dance teams, coach and player introductions, team scrimmages from both basketball teams and plenty more.

Kansas Athletics has yet to announce a musical guest for the event. Atlanta-based rapper 2 Chainz performed live at last year’s Late Night in the Phog.

According to the release, further scheduling details for Late Night in the Phog will be released closer to the date of the event.
