Alex Garrison is a junior in journalism and international studies from Kansas City, Kan. This is her fourth semester as part of The Kansan staff, having been a correspondent, correspondent editor and, most recently, crime and general assignment reporter. She is currently the associate editor of Jayplay, The Kansan's lifestyle magazine. She has also contributed to The Leavenworth Times and The Lawrence Journal-World.
Alex enjoys freelance reporting and hopes to one day work as a foreign correspondent.
