Asher, who was born in 1987 in Wichita, decided at some point between then and now that baseball was the greatest thing in the world. Since that conclusion, he started getting involved in journalism, specifically sports writing. He got his start at the Kansan covering men's golf before moving on to KU women's basketball and offseason football. He covered KU football during the fall of 2007 and is currently a sports columnist and part-time offseason football writer. His favorite athletes are Bernie Williams and Isaiah Rider.
