Asher, who was born in 1987 in Wichita, decided at some point between then and now that baseball was the greatest thing in the world. Since that conclusion, he started getting involved in journalism, specifically sports writing. He got his start at the Kansan covering men's golf before moving on to KU women's basketball and offseason football. He's also covered football, women's basketball and business, and written sports columns. He currently covers health in Jayplay and contributes to The Morning Brew in sports. His favorite athletes are Bernie Williams and Isaiah Rider.
