The Elections Commission sponsored an hour-and-a-half-long debate Monday evening. The candidates had to answer tough questions, such as how they would accomplish their goals even if not elected.

KJHK will get a new digital archive next fall to help preserve its music library. The storage system will cost around $32, 000. Student Senate passed a bill to secure $15,000 in funding from the Senate reserve account. Programming will improve with the addition of a searchable database.

The bill, which would increase student fees $3 per semester, was tabled on the Student Senate Committee March 7. A petition with 1,000 student signatures would be needed by this Wednesday for the bill to go on the spring ballot.

President steps down, vice president moves up
John Cross, Kansas City, Mo., junior and former vice presidential nominee for Delta Force, will become the presidential nominee. Ryan Rowan, also a Kansas City, Mo., junior, stepped down to take the position as chair for the Big 12 Council on Black Student Government.
