Jana Silverman, Schaumburg, Illinois, (year) graduate, and Ann Fitzgerald, Southlake, Texas, (year) graduate, are industrial designers who designed a shower chair from a material called 3Form, an enviornmentally safe, recycable, sustainable plastic. The patent is currently pending for the dishwasher safe shower chair.

The Gaslight Tavern, 317 N. 2nd St., will close sometime within the next two months. The bar was named after the original Gaslight Tavern, which was located where the top level of the Kansas Union parking garage is today.

Deadman Flats performs in the Winfield Hangover Party at the Gaslight Tavern on Sept. 22. Alex Law, guitarist and lead singer (far right), said his band played its first concert at the tavern. "When this place closes, it will be like a huge chunk of Lawrence is gone," Law said.

Lott works with a student on the stage to make sure that the "Old Woman" puppet will move just right for her. He said that he has spent a lot of time on the puppets for the play; however, the stage set was designed by another group of theater students.

The curtains are actually a puppet; the operator is concealed behind the cloth. This puppet requires three people in total to move it successfully.
