Kelsey is a senior from Lenexa, majoring in journalism, political science and international studies. This is her eighth semester on The Kansan. In the past, she has worked as a reviewer, correspondent, columnist, opinion editor, Web producer, designer, editorial board member and copy editor for The Kansan. This is her second semester as managing editor of Kansan.com. She spent her sophomore year in Reading, England, and designed for the University of Reading's newspaper, Spark. Kelsey is interested in all areas of journalism, but especially commentary, editing, multimedia and design. She was a Dow Jones Newspaper Fund copy-editing intern last summer at The Indianapolis Star. This summer, she will complete a copy-editing internship at The Columbus Dispatch. Next year, she intends to complete an MA in International Relations at the University of Kent in Canterbury, England.
