Marshall Schmidt is a first-year graduate student studying biomedical engineering. This is his second semester with The Kansan, having worked as a feature reporter last fall. He graduated from Wichita State University with a bachelor's degree in May 2011 majoring in mechanical engineering and minoring in psychology. Marshall previously reported for The Sunflower at WSU, interned at Hawker Beechcraft and tutored engineering classes. He also works as a teaching assistant for the School of Engineering.
