Mike Vernon is a sophomore from Sugar Land, Texas majoring in journalism. This is his fourth semester with The Kansan. He is covering Kansas football for the Kansan this year and has covered Kansas baseball in the past. Mike considers himself to be a great role player in pickup basketball games. His favorite quote is, “Clear eyes, full hearts, can’t lose,” said by legendary coach Eric Taylor.
