Taylor is from Cedar Falls, Iowa, current home of former Kansas assistant football coach Mark Farley and his UNI Panthers. In 10th grade, Taylor decided that getting paid and/or receiving free food for covering sports was a pretty sweet deal and he’s been doing it ever since. Taylor started at The Kansan with track & field and currently covers women’s basketball. His sports heroes are TyJuan Finley, Jon Godfread and every Heisman winner you've never heard of.
