Taylor is from Cedar Falls, Iowa, and is still a die hard UNI Panther fan. In 10th grade, Taylor decided that getting paid and/or receiving free food for covering sports was a pretty sweet deal and he’s been doing it ever since. Taylor started at The Kansan with track & field then covered women’s basketball. Now he's the Big 12 football writer. His sports heroes are Kenny Shedd and Dedric Ward.
