As fans celebrated at the intersection of tenth and Mass, several people began climbing street lamps and trees in the area. This man climbed nearly to the top of the pole, but was discouraged when people began shooting fireworks and throwing ice cubes at him.

Fans celebrated the reunion of the Kansas Jayhawks Tuesday afternoon in Memorial Stadium. On hand were the Jayhawks together with Govenor Kathleen Sebelius, Max Falkenstein and Chancellor Hemmenway.

Augusten Burroughs, author of Running With Scissors and Dry, came to speak Tuesday as part of Queers & Allies' annual Pride Week celebration. The New York Times bestseller spoke in Woodruff Auditorium and after, signed books and answered questions from fans. Q&A also hosted a cake reception on Wescoe beach, an LGBT Prom Night and this Friday will host its annual Brown Bag Drag show.

Stephanie Meehan is riding across the country to raise awareness for affordable housing. She has to do fundraising and train to bike. Meehan said she liked to train on the bike paths between Southwind Plaza and Clinton Lake.

Anna Tabakh, Leawood Senior, purchases books for an independent study class offered through the University of Kansas. Tabakh, like other students at the University of Kansas, couldn't afford to buy all the books required for the course and decided to share the expense with a fellow classmate.
