Carol Journey became the first evicted house member on the CBS reality series 'Big Brother 8'.

That was fast.
Exactly one week after University student Carol Journey was secluded into the “Big Brother 8” house at a CBS production studio in Los Angeles with 13 other cast members, one of whom was her high school nemesis...she was voted out Thursday night.
Journey was the first roommate sent packing this season, even after she tried to win hometown rival Jessica Hughbanks's friendship by confessing to her, “I'm sorry I was such a bitch in middle school,” according to the show's official Web site.
Journey's apology did little to sway her enemy or hardly any other member of the house as she was eliminated with a 10-1 vote total.
Journey, a junior from Haysville, withdrew from a summer Calculus class at the University and forfeited her role as a Kansas City Chiefs cheerleader for the upcoming football season to appear on the television show and vie for $500,000. She was also a Rock Chalk Dancer.
One of the show's fan Web sites, www.buddytv.com/big-brother, was neither critical nor sympathetic towards Journey becoming the first eviction, and stated in a blog, “Whoever leaves isn't going to deserve their exit. Nor have they really had enough time in the house to prove that they deserve to stay.”
