Kaleidoscope: In an effort to tell the stories of urban artists in Macedonia, KU honors student Sandra Ristovska has enlisted the help of German film maker Nathalie Schulten in the production of her documentary film "Kaleidoscope." The film is about the changing Macedonian culture caused by the country's endeavors to cope in today's global world. KJHK's Justin Leverett spoke with the two film makers about the message they hope to convey in Kaleidoscope.
State of the Arts: There is a lot happening this week with the State of the Arts in Lawrence. This week marks the 28th annual Lawrence Art Auction. KJHK's State of the Arts contributor Bethany Ashlock spoke with Rick Mitchell, gallery and special projects director at the Lawrence Arts Center, and learned more about the auction.
Students of Amnesty: Students of Amnesty recently held a protest on KU's campus opposing inhumane treatment of prisoners at Guantanamo Bay. KJHK reporter Rachel Wuntch was there to find out what the group hoped to accomplish with the protest.
