Kansas' pitching woes continued Saturday as Oklahoma State pieced together a 10-3 victory.
Senior pitcher Andres Esquibel gave up six runs in five innings. Despite 11 hits and a two-run homerun from junior catcher Buck Afenir, the Jayhawks just couldn't keep up.
Oklahoma State was led by its lead off hitter, center fielder Donnie Webb, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI.
The final game of the series will be played today at 1:00 p.m. in Stillwater.
GAME ONE
Junior pitcher Nick Czyz continued to be reliable in his start against Oklahoma State Friday night, allowing only two earned runs in more than six innings of work. But it wasn't enough as Kansas fell to No. 13 Oklahoma State 6-1 at Reynolds Stadium.
The Cowboys pulled away in the seventh inning when left fielder Neil Medchill hit a three-run homerun off of junior pitcher Paul Smyth.
The Jayhawks face the Cowboys again this afternoon at 2:00 and finish the series Sunday at 1:00.
