Oscar notes, nominees and predictions: The 80th annual Academy Awards will be held this Sunday and Abby Olcese, KJHK’s movie critic, reviews the nominees and predicts who will go home with a little gold man.

KU helps search for an HIV vaccine: Heather Desaire, associate professor of chemistry at the University of Kansas, leads a team of KU researchers who are cooperating with other universities to find an HIV vaccine. She tells KJHK’s Hayley Shanks how they are working toward this monumental goal and how a vaccine could help third world countries.

Black History Month 2008, part one: KJHK reporter Sarah Eyer tells us about a lecture series being given to inform people about this commemorative month.
