Astrokitty: Free Comic Book Day is the day when participating comic book shops around the world give away comic books absolutely free to anyone who comes into their stores. KJHK reporter Justin Leverett was at Astrokitty Comics to pick up his free issues and learn more about the event.
Swell Season: Last night, The Swell Season performed at the Uptown Theater in Kansas City. You might recognize these two European musicians from their performance in the film, Once, in which they one the Oscar for Best Song. KJHK's critics Abby Olcese and Elliot Kort were their to find out if the duo's performance was indeed Oscar-worthy.
State of the Arts: For our final State of the Arts segment this weekend, KJHK contributor Sierra Falter tells us what events we can look forward to this Summer for the art scene in Lawrence.
