Q&A with Dan Van Orsdel, a sophomore from Minnetonka, Minn.
Q. What’s the last movie you saw?
A. Probably “Step Brothers.”
Q. What are you currently listening to?
A. Mainly just rap, like Lil Wayne.
Q. What inspired you to run cross country?
A. I wanted to follow my big brother’s footsteps and run. He ran for the University of Minnesota.
Q. Favorite KU Tradition?
A. Waving the Wheat.
Q. Are you a Soduku or crossword puzzle person?
A. Crossword puzzle.
Q. What’s the longest you have ever run?
A. 18 miles in one time. My legs felt like Jell-O.
Q. Who would you want to switch lives with for a day?
A. Probably LeBron James.
Q. What’s a quote that you live by?
A. “You win some, you lose some.”
Q. Do you have any hidden talents?
A. Not really. I’m not that talented.
Q. Did you watch Nickelodeon as a kid?
A. Yeah.
Q. Were you a “GUTS” or “Legends of the Hidden Temple” fan?
A. “Legends.”
Q. Who’s the funniest person on the team?
A. Probably Patrick McGowan.
Q.What’s your favorite sport to watch?
A. College basketball.
Q. Do you do fantasy football?
A. Yeah, it’s going pretty well. I’m 1-1, but I had the second highest point total of the week.
