There is a lot of arguing about the black shirt/white button down/khaki debate. Although that is one tradition, it is not really something that effects the overall Senate or how the year will go. I don't think that is what Connect is speaking about. I think Connect is more interested in breaking down barriers from the usual "top-down" model from former coalitions. Ignite got the ball started on this but it could be done better. It sounds like he wants his coalition to be able to have ideas and implement themselves. Also, he wants to bring the trend back to where in actual senate meetings the heads of the coalitions are not telling their senators how to vote. Either way, it should be an interesting coalition to watch.
Does anyone know if DF is running this year? Or who they are running?
There are hundreds of public schools that allow students to study in Israel. Why can't KU be one of those universities instead of lagging behind and being one of the few who prevents students from traveling there? Over a hundred students on the campus already travel to Israel with programs like Birthright and others. KU should continue with the trend and demand of the students to study academically in Israel like their peers at other Universities.
