I can't really beat the post above me. Top_Down pretty much covered all my bases. I own three guns, and I use them in 100% legal ways. I am not a huge guy and I doubt I could do anything against somebody bigger than myself. I own my guns to level the playing field, not to lead some heroic "Die Hard style" shootout on the streets. Like the above post, I encourage the writer to buy a gun and learn to use it. You will see that they are not evil or bad.

I realize that it doesn;t matter what I say. Ms. Simmerman, you will do what you want. I pray that you figure out a system that works for you and I hope you are never attacked again

I will cease supporting a persons right to "carry" on the day that someone with a legal CCL snaps and goes on a shooting rampage. Until that day, I will continue to support RESPONSABLE gun owners who want to carry their weapons freely.

Also a bad idea to tell you ex-boyfriend (an American Soldier) that you "hope he gets blown up in Iraq."

I tip my cap to the professionalism of the Lawrence PD for their handling of the crowds. Well done guys.

Like any good reporter today, Mr. Stewart has made selective use of the facts. Yes, the Kansas STATE legislature has passed a new law legalizing the ownership of machine guns, silencers and short barreled shotguns. However, FEDERAL law still requires that those that wish to legally purchase a machine gun or silencer pass a myriad of background checks as well as pay multiple fees. I don't know if these laws apply to short shotguns. My point is that people are heavily scrutinized well BEFORE they ever legally own one of the aforementioned weapons. Furthermore, events like NIU, Columbine and North Hollywood clearly demonstrate that determined criminals will get their hands on whatever guns they want, regardless of a particular gun's legality.

I have seen a lot of garbage in the UDK. Today I saw four whole columns of garbage. I can now die a happy man

While I agree that the Mizzou shirts are over the line, I can't help but point out the fact that the Kansas Jayhawkers were doing the exact same things in Missouri that Quantrill did over here. That is why it's called the Border WAR (not the PC "Showdown")

I hated Wally's class. I hated it with a passion. He was one of the most ubsurd professors I have ever had. That said, I truly am sorry that he has died and I wish the best for his family and friends.
