Thor, thank you for sharing your story and for your honesty. Our youngest son ended up getting "caught" in the mental health system at the age of 21 while a student at UMD. You and he have probably crossed paths as he has been in the hospital at St. Cloud and Wilmar RTC so I can relate to your situation and found so many similarities to your story and his such as the weight gain, feeling "zoned out", lethargy, numerous diagnoses,and mixing alcohol with prescription drugs. So, thanks for your courage and standing up for yourself. That is difficult to do against the mental health system. Good luck in the future to you and your family.
