Nothing he stated in the article about Connect or Wikupedia is misleading - that was not what I said. In fact, had the column been written by the editorial board - I think it would have been a solid article.

What I said (and what the editor said this morning) was that when writing an article about something you're involved in, you need to make sure that is known. That's basic journalism 101.

It's a fine article Ben but I'm disappointed (kinda sad actually) that you wrote this article from the standpoint of an unbaised observer, instead of an active participant in the coalition that you referred to. That is misleading, at best.

You can do better.

Excellent and insightful commentary.

On Mersmann: I think not

In their [Connect's] first real challenge in senate --- in their first real experience in conflict (regarding the Hate Crimes Bill) - a member of this new coalition, dedicated to bringing change and a new enviornment to senate, managed to call the entire Student Senate "racist."

There is no doubt that there needs to be an enviornmental change in Student Senate. But turning to a coalition that uses name calling as a method to get their way is not the answer.

I won't hide that I'm a United Students fan. I hope the editorial board will give them a fair shot, and see if they can give this idea of change a little more than lip service.

The article seemed pretty fair to me. Except for the part about United Students somehow being responsible for the $20 in fee increases ---- not sure how that works.

United Students seems to be doing a pretty decent job. As long as they keep working in the next semester, they should be in pretty good shape in April.

I just got ANOTHER illegal email from Delta Force. It's to bad they have to cheat to win.

Vote United Students.

Sucks that DF doesn't have any real issues to run on. This whole complaint stems from a disagreement on exactly how you count the legislation (whether you count what wasn't passed or not).

Hopefully, people will vote for United Students based on their platform, as endorsed by the UDK. Surely there is no better reason to vote U.S. than that.

More of the same.... DF can't run on their own issues, so they have to make bogus claims about other coalitions...

This one wasn't even close. Cleary a win for United Students.
